Who We Are
NPO Joint Collaboration of South Africa (NJ-COSA) was established in response to the growing social, economic, and developmental challenges facing communities across the country. Its founders recognised that poverty, unemployment, inequality, and emerging health and social crises could not be effectively addressed through fragmented and isolated efforts.
This shared understanding led to the creation of a unified platform where non-profit organisations, non-profit companies, cooperatives, social enterprises, development partners, and community groups can work together toward sustainable and meaningful change.
The organisation exists to support, capacitate, and coordinate the work of community-based entities, enabling them to deliver services more effectively, strengthen local economies, and respond to the needs of vulnerable and marginalised groups. Through collaboration, shared resources, and strategic partnerships, NJ-COSA is committed to advancing social justice, promoting inclusive development, and building resilient communities throughout South Africa.
Our Vision
To build a united network of private sector partners and community stakeholders working collaboratively to address South Africa’s social challenges. We envision a society where every individual, regardless of background, has the opportunity to thrive and live with dignity and purpose. We strive to be a leading catalyst for social change, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and community empowerment across the nation.
Our Mission
Our mission is to promote dignity and improve the quality of life for individuals, families, and communities across South Africa. We work to remove barriers to opportunity and empower those in need to reach their full potential through the collective efforts of NPOs, NPCs, and cooperatives. By working together, we create sustainable solutions to the most pressing social challenges facing our nation.
